A woman died Sunday after police say she was struck in a hit-and-run along the 700 block of Black Horse Pike in Haddon Township, N.J., according to investigators.
Police say a 67-year-old woman from Blackwood, N.J. was at the Audubon Commons Shopping Center ACME and crossing the highway to the bus stop across the street, which had no crosswalk or light. As the woman was walking, witnesses say she was suddenly struck by a pickup truck which continued eastbound on Route 30 after hitting her.
The woman was taken to Cooper Medical Center where she later died from her injuries. Police have not yet revealed her identity.
Investigators closed all lanes following the crash. No arrests werw made. Police said they would look at surveillance video to determine if the vehicle was caught on tape. Officials also say the truck which struck her may have been aqua in color.
