Crews rushed to the scene of a school bus crash early this evening in Burlington County after two people were hurt, one trapped with serious injuries.
The bus collided with a black sports car around 5 p.m. on Eayrestown Road near Municipal Drive in Lumberton, N.J.
Authorities don’t believe any kids were on the bus.
The driver in the other vehicle was trapped following the wreck.
SkyForce10 was over the scene. It appeared the front left bumper of the bus was pushed up against the right side of the heavily-damaged vehicle.
Rescuers got the person out of the sports car and transported him or her on a stretcher to a waiting state police medical helicopter around 5:45 p.m.
Lumberton Township Police told NBC10 another victim suffered non-life threatening injuries and was transported by ambulance to a nearby hospital. It's unclear which vehicle that person was riding in at the time of the wreck.
Neither victim was identified. The cause of the crash is under investigation.
