Two passengers, armed with a gun, allegedly tried to board two different planes at Philadelphia International Airport Thursday.

Sources tell NBC10's Nefertiti Jaquez that a 44-year-old woman was boarding around 9:30 a.m. when TSA workers found a gun in her luggage.

They say she did have a permit for the .44-caliber magnum and was allowed to get on the plane, but authorities cited her and took her gun.

Later in the day, at the same checkpoint, sources tell NBC10's Jaquez that a 23-year-old man tried to go through security with a gun.

He was being questioned by police, as of late Thursday night.

Earlier in the day, police officers and firefighters rushed to the airport after a suspiscious powder was found in an airport bathroom. That powder wasn't harmful and the scene was cleared. No arrests were made in that case.
