With temps pushing 80, a spring tradition returns just in time today as Ben & Jerry's gives away free ice cream for its annual Free Cone Day promotion.
The 34th edition of the giveaway takes place at many Ben & Jerry's Scoop Shop locations including stores in Philadelphia and down the Jersey Shore.
The well-known Vermont-based ice cream company will let all customers have a free cup or cone of their favorite ice cream creation.
“It’s free, it’s fair, it’s everywhere, and it is one of the most exciting days at Ben & Jerry’s,” said Ben & Jerry's Chief Marketing Officer Dave Stever. “We’re always striving to show our fans that we love them more than they love us... and Free Cone Day gets the job done.”
Not every Ben & Jerry's store participates in Free Cone Day so be sure to call before you go. Also, hours can vary so be sure your area store is open.
If you plan on grabbing some ice cream be ready to wait your turn. With temps likely pushing past 80 today there are sure to be plenty of people looking for a cool treat.
