Day four in the search for missing bartender Sarah Majoras brought a significant development -- one of her boots was found, according to sources involved in the search for Sarah. The boot was found on the ice in the D & R canal, which is where she disappeared. Divers have been searching the canal water since Monday.

Majoras went missing early Saturday morning. She was headed home from John and Peter's Pub in New Hope, Pa., where she'd been hanging out at the bar with friends. It's also where Majoras has worked for the last 16 years.

Majoras started her one-mile trek across the bridge over to Lambertville, New Jersey after 2 a.m. Saturday. Surveillance photos released on Wednesday show Majoras crossing the bridge over the Delaware River from New Hope into Lambertville, and then crossing the street. She turned North on Lambert Lane and then walked along the D & R canal toward her home. Majoras, 39, was four blocks away when she disappeared.

Divers have been searching underwater in the canal with the help of sonar. Friends, family, volunteers and police have helped with the search on land and by air.

On Friday, investigators asked the public for help.

"Our plea to the public now is if anyone has any information regarding where Sara Majoras may be or if anyone was in the area, we're asking them to come forward and tell us if they saw anything, heard anything, if they know of anyone who may have given Sarah a ride, etc.," said Hunterdon County Prosecutor Anthony P. Kearns, III.

Majoras is described as a white female, 5-foot-4 inches tall. She weighs 140 pounds and has blonde hair and blue eyes. She was wearing blue jeans, brown leather boots a camouflage jacket and a white hat when she left the bar.

"While we have no substantial evidence of foul play, our minds remain open," Kearns said. "We are looking at all possibilities. . .We believe all the participants, to include the public, are going to make a difference in this case."

If you have any information that will help searchers, call New Hope police at 215-862-3033 or Lambertville police at 609-397-3132 or Hunterdon County Communications at 908-284-6162.
