A Wind Advisory that is in effect for most of our viewing area has been extended from 11 a.m. until 6 p.m. Thursday.

Meteorologist Bill Henley says that the wind has picked up and that winds are gusting higher than 50 mph this morning.

In Philadelphia, we've seen gusts as high as 52 mph.

We're seeing temperatures in the 40s now -- down from the 50s, but strong winds are causing temps to drop. This afternoon, they'll drop as low as the 30s and although winds are expected to die down, they could still gust up to 45 mph this afternoon.

Strong winds and heavy rain overnight have left many residents without power Thursday morning.
